Description

English, late 18th century. Georgian chinoiserie case clock with japanned landscape and figural decoration. Works feature an 8-day time and strike, seconds dial, and calendar. Accompanied by key to case, key to works, two weights and one pendulum. Works are unmarked. Approx. 86", w. 19", d. 10".

Condition

Wear commensurate with age and use. Crack to glass, scattered gilt loss, prior scattered restoration, loss to lacquer. Works not tested and no apparent cord for weights. Stable construction.
