Description
American, Massachusetts, circa 1730-1740. Mahogany and maple veneer Queen Anne dressing table having an overhanging shaped top with figured maple panels framed by walnut crossbanding, five veneered drawers, arched skirt with acorn drops, and rising on cabriole legs with pad feet. Provenance: Acquired Skinner, Marlborough, August Americana Online, August 13, 2020, sale 3417T, lot 2001; a Boston area collection. Approx. h. 29", w. 29", d. 16".
Condition
Old finish; top has been removed, new glue blocks, patches over pins on top; minor previous restorations; case is structurally sound.
