Description
STAFFORDSHIRE BRITISH MOTIF TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC CUP PLATES, LOT OF TWO, each unpatterned rim having pink lustre, comprising one featuring the Lakes of Killarney/Waterfall pattern and one depicting a small boat on water with church in background and bold floral surround. Unmarked. Circa 1825. 3 7/8" D.
Mostly undamaged, each with some minor expected wear and Waterfall example with minute glaze flake to rim.
Literature: The Armans - Anglo-American Ceramic Cup Plates - Part II, p. 29, #111 and p. 32, #130; Transferware Collectors Club database pattern #2331.
