Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong blue & white wrapped floral motif porcelain zun amphora vase. The Porcelain potted in a Zun Amphora shaped vase, thick and large, globular body, slightly oval mid body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight cylindrical neck, with wide flaring open lip, two elephant trunk handles emerging and flanked on the shoulder, raised with short splayed foot base rim and slightly concave. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The main belly and the neck adorned with big lotus flowers blooms interspersed scrolling interlocking foliage, enclosed repeating taotie mask on the shoulder. Upturning phoenix tails on the upper mouth rim and thrashing wavy lishui water on the foot base rim. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. It also represents long life and honor. The lotus flower is depicted in Chinese art, poetry and architecture. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
