Lot of 2 Hollowcut Silhouettes of Man & Woman - not matched pair, matching brass frames, each with old inked note on back side stating that they were purchased in 1923 in Rhode Island from an antiques dealer - 1) very unusual sitting of lady facing right, in ornate pen and ink portrait, dress with wide sleeve, lace collar and ribbon, 4 1/2 x 5 1/4" H; 2) gentleman sitter facing left, pen and ink ascot and hair accents. Note - Approximately 40 silhouettes throughout this sale from a vary early collection, some with paper numbers on the backside cataloged when purchased from New Hampshire and East Coast antique stores as early as 1920. Unfortunately the actual catalog has long since disappeared. Some silhouettes will sell in groups. They vary in condition and content.
