Description
Traditional Balinese kris dagger. Straight blade with an asymmetrical base. Massive wooden, slightly curved handle. The kris scabbard, also made of wood, consists of two parts: a wide upper part (gambar) and a narrow, rod-shaped lower part (gandar). A metal pendok piece is put on top of the lower part. The upper part is made in the form of a boat. According to legend, the mythical hero Panji is in a crescent-shaped boat.
