Triangular shaped porcelain teapot, painted each sides with butterflies, flowering plants, birds and mountainous landscape with Japanese female figures dressed in lavishly decorated robes. Spout painted with scrolls in gilt. Shoulder and cover rims decorated with repeated floral patterns in blue. Attached with a bamboo handle a baluster bpdy rising to a flared rim with spout and handle, pot is decorated with shaped panels of figures and landscape scenery with flower plants on the other side, doom cover is decorated similarly with white floral bud finial H: 7.7"(19.7cm) D: 6.4"(16.3cm) H: 8.9"(22.8cm) D: 8.4"(21.3cm) Provenance: Estate Sale of Dr. Solomon Stone, a clinical psychologist and professor at Brooklyn College.Condition: the small teapot in good condition, the big one has restored handle
