Description
a British statesman who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1902 to 1905, as Foreign Secretary in the Lloyd George ministry, and issuer of the Balfour Declaration in 1917, signed letter and signed photograph, letter typed on 4. Carlton Gardens, Pall Mall letterhead and dated Feb. 20, 1923, addressed to a 'Mr. Hendrick' who apparently requested a photograph, the letter references 'the admirable work which you have performed as Mr. Page's biographer' (ostensibly a letter to Mr. Burton J. Hendrick who was the biographer for Mr. Walter H. Page, an American journalist, publisher, and diplomat, Hendrick was awarded the 1923 Pulitzer Prize for this biography), letter signed in black 'Balfour', the Vandyk London photo reads 'With Kindest Regards, Balfour', framed together, note sight 7.5x5.5in., overall famed 22x12in.
