TWO BLANC-DE-CHINE FIGURES OF GUANYIN
17th/18th century
One modelled as a seated figure of Guanyin with her left hand resting on her raised left knee, her right hand holding a scroll, cold painted and gilt-lacquered, 17.7cm (7in) high; and a standing figure of Guanyin, modelled with serene face and down-cast eyes, clad in loose flowing robes, 34cm (13 1/4in) high.

Condition
The larger Guanyin: restoration to the hands, visible under UV light; some firing imperfections including some firing cracks; general surface wear.
The smaller Guanyin: with restoration to the left hand, the right hand with finger missing; minor firing imperfections; some hairline cracks, the largest approx 20cm long around the body; some chips to the extremities, the largest approx 1.5cm wide; some loss of pigment and gilding and general surface wear; minor firing imperfections.
