A FRENCH PROVINCIAL STYLE BRONZE MOUNTED OAK COMMODE, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the undulating rectangular top with stepped molding trim above three conforming drawers, with molded panels enclosing "C" scrolled rocaille cast escutcheons on shaped panels within stylized leafy details in relief, flanked by acanthus modeled bronze handles on conforming panels and sides of curling acanthus, each partitioned by scalloped bands and placed over a similarly shaped apron centering a shell pendant within tapering floral stems, flanked by rounded corner panels topped by bellflower on bloom relief carvings and ending on short foliate detailed cabriole legs ending in scrolled toes.
