A ROMAN STYLE MARBLE TORSO OF VENUS, AFTER THE APHRODITE OF MENOPHANTOS, POSSIBLY 1ST-4TH CENTURY AD, modeled in the ancient classical style, the white marble torso of nude female with elegant jugular notch over slight shoulders framing apple breasts to a naturally rendered abdomen and hip curve; her back bends slightly forward revealing dimples of Venus above her callipygous steatopygia; she stands in contrapposto, now mounted on an ebonized wood stepped square plinth base.
