Qing dynasty, calligraphic inscription and seals lower left, large red seal at top, probably depicting an empress as the bodhisattva Guanyin, ink and gouache on paper, image 51-1/4 x 24-7/8 in.; scroll lined with cream fabric brocade, floral motif, ebonized wood handle, overall including handle 113-1/2 x 36 in.; housed in wood case, 3-1/2 x 36-3/4 x 3-5/8 in.

Condition
some creasing and warping to paper, some toning and light staining throughout; fabric with some light wear and staining, some minor areas of shattering/fraying; case with surface dirt layer and accretion, some scratches, bumps, chips, and losses, old tape residue to top and sides
