Frontispiece print of Wall Street. 66pp. Green cloth with decorative symbol of ticker tape machine and bundles of money on front in black, titles in gold on front and spine. First edition, first printing of this work on the dangers of stocks and traders. Garet Garrett was an American author and journalist who wrote primarily on political and economic issues. At the time of this work's publication, Garrett was a financial columnist for the New York Evening Post. In 1913, he became editor of The New York Times Annalist, a financial weekly that was new at the time, and in 1915, he joined the editorial council of The New York Times. In 1916, he became the executive editor of the New-York Tribune at the age of 38. From 1922 to 1942, he became the principal writer on economic issues for the Saturday Evening Post.
