oil on canvas, signed and dated 1955 at lower left, inscribed on the verso, presented in an attractive hardwood and gilt frame with linen liner.
Stretcher size 28 x 42 in.; Frame dimensions 35 x 49 in.
Born in London, Arthur Weaver studied oil and watercolor painting at the Hornsey School of Art. While best known for his paintings of golf courses, Weaver received numerous commissions in the 1950s and 1960s to capture industrial and agricultural scenes of Texas.
