*A SILVER-MOUNTED BURL WOOD OFFERING BOWL AND LID Tibet, 19th century The bowl carved out of a single piece of wood, then mounted with a silver foot, lined with a silver leaf and set with a silver lid, a rich flower chiselled decoration, the piece enhanced with turquoise and coral cabochons, the finial with a coral bead. Two marked engraved to the mount. The below with a label reading «Vetmas Antiguedades Libertad 1286 BsAs. H: 13,5 cm - D: 14,5 cm Provenance: > Private collection; > Juan Carlos Katzenstein (1925-2018), an Argentinian Diplomat, who was an Ambassador in Beijing, China, from December 6, 1975 to January 2, 1978, and later to the Holy See (Vatican) and to the Sovereign Order of Malta from 1989 to 1991. > Vetmas Antiguedades, Libertad 1286, Buenos Aires, Argentina (according to label). ** Please note that this lot contains coral and is subject to CITES regulations when exporting outside of the EU.
