AMERICAN FOLK ART CARVED AND PAINTED PANELS, PAIR, each rectangular form featuring a tied-back drape. Original dry green-painted surfaces. Probably from a horse-drawn hearse. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 31 1/2" x 14 1/2".
Very good as-found condition, one with several short cracks, each with expected losses/flaking of paint.
Provenance: The collection of the late Theodore "Ted" and Alvina Breckel, Oley, PA and Winnetka, IL.
