PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA PAINTED LOW-BACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR, shaped crest rail with beaded arms terminating in rounded grips, supported on delicate baluster-turned front posts and 15 spindles, generous saddle-shaped seat raised on splayed baluster-turned legs terminating in ball feet, and joined by a bulbous H-form stretcher. Early dry black-painted surface. Circa 1760. 28 3/4" HOA, 17" H seat, 14" D seat.
Very good overall condition, proper left front foot with pieced edge, proper right front leg with old repair at top, proper right stretcher with old repair to break, areas of expected usage wear.
