Cotton "rose of sharon" quilt, all hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a swag border. Dates back to the first quarter of the 20th century. It measures a generous (queen or king size) 84" X 110" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional light spot (hard to find) and no wear. The hand quilting is exceptional, with quilting around and within the applique and in close ripple, grid, and feathered designs in the background, all at an even 12-13 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is pale pink, and the batting is thin. A small attached tag (removeable) has the written name "Massey."
