Description
An antique beaded souvenir pillow made by the Iroquois with a piled bead decoration. In the center of the pillow is an elaborate flower made from clear beads stitched on a rich purple velvet. The central section is framed by more clear beads. Outside this border is an elaborate design made from clear, reflective, purple and turquoise-color glass beads. The pillow was made by the Iroquois as souvenirs to tourists in the day.MEASUREMENTS8 1/2” (21.6 cm) wide x 8” (20.3 cm) tall x 2 ¾” (7.0 cm) thick. Weighs 11.1 oz (315 g)CONDITIONThere are some loose threads, especially along the edges. Although a few beads are missing, most bead work on the face of the pillow is intact.
