Good Victorian Three-Piece Sterling Silver Tea Set
hallmarked London, 1868-1869, by Stephen Smith for the Goldsmith's Alliance, including:
a teapot, h. 7-3/4", l. 11-3/4";
an open sugar bowl, h. 4-3/4", w. 9-1/4"; and
a cream jug, h. 6-7/8", l. 5-3/4";
each of lobed form with beautifully chased leaves and flowers on the shoulder, with acanthus-crested "S"-scroll handles and raised on four acanthus scroll feet, the teapot with short "gooseneck" spout, domed lid en suite with pumpkin finial, and presentation inscription to the Rev. Lewis T. Rowland from his parishioners at St. George's, Tredegar.
