Description
U.S. Colonial Currency, Massachusetts. 4 Shillings 8 Pence. December 1, 1779 (Fr-MA274). The front of this elusive banknote was printed by Paul Revere (the reverse by Thomas Fleet). About Fine with decent retained paper body and only minor fraying at the margins. Unfortunately, there is a large stain that affects most of the right side of the face, as well as a corresponding area on the reverse. Scarce nonetheless, and of significant historic interest due to its connection to well known patriot Paul Revere. Est. $100.
