Cesare Lapini (Italian, 1848-1893), Italian Maiden 

Marble, signed at base of sculpture with inscription Galleria Frat: Lapini Firenze (translated, Brothers Gallery: Lapini, Florence), and also includes a green marble pedestal; marble ht. 43 in., marble and pedestal ht. 77 in. 

The sculpture has several small little cracks with associated discoloration throughout. Also two large hairline cracks, each about 6" long. One is located across the chest and the other is on the upper thigh. The stand has several cracks on the top part and several chips at the bottom of the central column.
