Description: 19th. century double barrel silver rifle created by master Jewish silversmiths and gunsmiths. The entire rifle surface is covered with heavy, solid silver chiseled with intricate hammered design and niello. It is clearly marked with a star of David below the trigger. The barrel rotates and allows firing from an upper and lower flint-lock. It appears that was made for a royal commission, based on the superlative workmanship, massive silver work and innovation of firing from both barrels by simple rotation of the double barrel.
