Antique Chinese cloisonne container formed of 2 parts

Description: Large Chinese cloisonne container formed of 2 parts. The upper part that is the cover measures 9.5" x 9" (24 x 23 cm.) with the height of 10" (26 cm.). The apical part is shaped as a cone and serves as a handle. The sides are nicely toned with dark patina in shape of mythical animals. The lower part that is the container itself measures 15.5" x 14.5" (40 x 37 cm.) with the height of 1o" (26 cm.). Similarly, the sides are decorated with mythical animals. Total height of the container is 25.5" (65 cm.). The artifact probably dates to the second part of 18th. century and is extremely rare.
