Decorative hand painted French sewing table from the 18th century has beautiful painted on the lid in blue and cream floral with gilt around the corners,lip and edges. Additional gilt painting around the lock on front with no key and other three sides,along the turned spindle support rod,inside and outside of the legs. Gold banding up the leg frame. Coal black background . Very minor wear to the background paint with age only as seen. Very sturdy and in excellent condition otherwise. Stands on tiny wheels. The interior is lined in salmon colored silk on inside of lid as well as other sides of the roomy compartment for holding sewing materials, in very good condition,slightly darker on right side than left . Truly one of a kind with fabulous artistic talent. Measures 25H X 15L X 11D. Can be shipped via Federal Express with zip code.
