Description
A Chinese blanc de chine dehua statuette of Guanyin dating from the 19th century with a fitted box. The Guanyin has a 3-character hulu-shaped mark on the reverse, and the Guanyin is depicted holding a ruyi wand and standing on a fish.
Dimensions are: 9 1/2 inches tall X 2 3/4 inches wide, 24.13 cm X 6.99 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Minor crazing to the glaze on the reverse, area of loss by the fish, and repairs to the head of the ruyi wand and Guanyin's hand.
Provenance: From a private Los Angeles, California collection.
