Andrew Jackson Signed Land Grant, Beautifully Displayed
1p of vellum, measuring 15.75" x 10", Washington, D.C., dated October 1, 1831. A partially-printed land grant signed "Andrew Jackson" and countersigned by Elijah Hayward, Commissioner of the General Land Office. The grant, No. 2157, grants "Thomas Taylor of Callaway County, Missouri…Eighty Acres." With a large paper seal at the lower left. The grant has been mounted along with a large portrait of Jackson and an informative plaque to measure 28" x 15" overall. The document has flattened folds and minor creasing. Light soiling. There is a small amount of paper loss at the lower right corner. Large and bold signature by Jackson. Overall very good and fantastic for display.
