SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN STAVE-TYPE WOVEN-SPLINT BASKET, probably white oak, unusual diminutive form constructed of staves and weavers attached to a bentwood frame. Retains a fine dry natural surface. Possibly Virginia. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. 7 1/2" HOA, 3 3/4" H (rim), 9 1/4" L (rim).
