Description
Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, reign of Tutankhamun, ca. 1333 to 1323 BCE. A beautiful faience offering cup that is covered with dark, sage green glaze and bears an enclosed cartouche for the famed boy-king Tutankhamun. The conical vessel features a flat base, gradually expanding walls, and a thick rim. Displayed on the body is a rectangular panel containing a column of hieroglyphic symbols next to a faint cartouche bearing the throne name of Tutankhamun, "Nebkheperure." Size: 1.6" W x 1.8" H (4.1 cm x 4.6 cm)

Fading to black-painted hieroglyphs and cartouche on exterior, with one stable hairline fissure stemming from rim, otherwise intact and excellent. Nice preservation to black hieroglyphs save for cartouche. TL drill holes inside of rim and beneath foot.
