Ancient Egyptian Faience Cup with King Tut Cartouche New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, ca. 1333 to 1323 BC. Size 2 inches high. 1 3/4 inch diameter. A Cylinder form green faience offering (funerary) cup, hieroglyph in black paint of King Tutankhamun (also spelled Tutankhamen and Tutankhamon, byname King Tut) cartouche (an oval ring that contains the pharoah's name) beside an untranslated though legible hieroglyph inscription. Provenance: Ex Private California collection acquired from Artemis 2/15/2018 Ex; private southern Florida collection acquired on the French art market before 2000. A full Artemis TL test report will accompany purchase.
