Description
Pair of signed Nobuyuki lobed silver vases - each with (6) kinji panels inlaid in the Shibayama style with bird and flowering trees motif. Multi-color enamel decorated floral accents. Applied gilt plaque to underside of each vase. Meiji, late 19th century. Total approx. weight to both vases is 33.99 troy oz (gross). From a New Rochelle, NY estate. Dimensions: vases measure approx. 10.75" high.
Condition
Losses, splits, and breaks to nearly every kinji panel. One foot of a single vase has broken off and is currently held on with tape. Light surface scratches and dings/dents.
