Description
A beautiful Meiji period signed Japanese silver and gold lacquer shibayama inlaid vase, of baluster form with gilt lacquer body decorated with blooms and birds , with applied mother-of-pearl and stone. Silver shoulder and neck with enamel floral drops and petal-form edges. Applied silver dragon-form handles facing upward toward the trumpet-form mouth. Vase stands on a silver cut-away base with additional enameled flower decoration. Two-character signature on base.
