Brass Conductor Lantern - Post & Co. Threaded Top

Item Details

Description

A Post & Co. brass conductor lantern. It has the bulbous Post top. The fun thing is that the top is threaded, that means no lid latch. A couple of the pics show this detail. Post was located in Cincinnati. The globe is free blown (no seams) and it has smooth top and bottom surfaces. The globe shows swirls from the shaping process. The top has interesting snips in the brass flap to use as a spring against the top of the globe.
