Description
Mid-17th century Anglo-Flemish School miniature painting on copper of a half-length portrait of a gentleman with long, wavy brown hair, wearing a black silk cloak and a white falling band collar. The painting is on an oval-shaped piece of copper and housed in a simple brass frame. Reminiscent of works by Anthony van Dyck, Alexander Cooper, Samuel Cooper, John Hoskins, and Cornelius Johnson.
