Description
(Disneyland, c.1960s-70s) An analog instrument panel used to control the speaker systems throughout the park. In the event of a fire or other urgent necessity, the operator could sound an alarm or make an announcement via microphone and independently adjust the volume of that message for each land. The piece consists of a metal control panel containing toggle switches, buttons, and rotary knobs with dials labeled for different sections of the park. The panel retains two engraved metal Disneyland inventory tags, and the analog electronics and wiring are still connected to the reverse. Measuring 5.25"x19" and 3.5" deep, the piece is in good condition with some paint loss, minor oxidation, adhesive residue, and dust accumulation.
