Description
Attributed Ephraim Stahl (Swedish, 1768-1820), circa 1820. Set of five cream painted parcel gilt upholstered neoclassical empire armchairs, each having curved backs, and rising on tapering foliate carved front legs above rosette corner blocks. Unmarked. Note: The work of Ephraim Stahl can be found in several Swedish royal palaces including Stockholm Palace and Rosersberg. Approx. of one, h. 33.25", w. 24", d. 21.5".
Condition
Wear to painted finishes; staining to upholstery with some trim not present; frames are structurally sound.
