Description
A Roman discus lamp depicting a bird feeding on a branch, 2nd Century AD, the discus set off by ridges and with a ring handle and rounded nozzle. The flat base bordered by a low ridge with central maker's mark on underside appearing to read TARIFLO. L: 4 1/4 in (10.2 cm). Nice well-preserved orange slip. A nice lamp! Ex collection of George Francoeur, MI.
