Description
Hai Zhive Zhovtnivs'ka Revolyutsiya [Long Live The October Revolution], a Ukrainian-language poster. Published by All-Ukraininan State Publishing, Poltava, 1920, 68 x 46 cm.
An attractive allegorical-style poster. The poster was most likely produced to mark the third anniversary of the October Revolution (Nov. 7, 1920). The prominence of the references to the Russo-Polish war is to be expected in a Ukrainian poster of the period, as the armistice was signed October 6, and much of the fighting took place on the Ukrainian territory.
