This lot consists of an unframed gouache painting on paper, done in the Impressionist style of Konstantin Korovin (Russian, 1861-1939). Image depicts a busy street scene. Handwritten inscription at lower left corner reads, "C. Korovine". Unframed measurements approximately 7.25" x 9.25".

Konstantin Korovin (Russian, 1861-1939) was an Impressionist painter who was born in Moscow. Korovin entered the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in 1875, then went on to the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg in 1881. Later, when Korovin traveled to Paris and Spain, he recounted, "Paris was a shock for me... Impressionists... in them I found everything I was scolded for back home in Moscow."
