Description
Artist: JOHN A. GENEUX (1916-1990) Size: 25 1/8 x 38 7/8 in./63.8 x 98.7 cm Affiches Atar, Genève Created shortly after the end of World War II, the Circuit des Nations was a short-lived race held on a 2.55 mile track between Lake Geneva and the Nations Square. Only five large-scale races ever took place there, starting in 1946 and ending in mid-1950. While this was technically the third of those five events, it was only the second Grand Prix des Nations (the actual second event was the Grand Prix de Genève, a Formula 2 race). That year, Giuseppe Farina would take home first place in his Maserati.
