Description
A miniature landscape painting by Thomas Moran (B.1837, D.1926). The work of art is an early piece by Moran, circa 1870. Moran was a well known American artist who was a part of the Hudson River School of painting and is best known for his Rocky Mountain images. The work of art depicts a scene with a shepherd his sheep out in a hazy landscape. The work is signed on the lower right corner 'Ts Moran.' Please note: This is possibly the work of Thomas Sidney Moran.
Dimensions are: framed, 8 1/2 inches tall X 10 1/2 inches wide, 21.59 cm X 26.67 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Some loss to the edges of the wood and age appropriate wear, not inspected outside of the frame.
