An original lithographic poster created by Pablo Picasso in 1960 to raise money and promote awareness for the Disarmament Summit Conference held in Paris in May of 1960 - hand-signed in blue and red by Picasso at center right. The composition features a white dove, symbolic of peace, flying over a rainbow with Picasso's printed signature and date "Picasso 10-10-52" at the lower right of this image. Below is the text, "Paix D'esarmement pour le succes de la conference au sommet Paris Mai 1960 Le Movement de la Paix" with notation for the publisher "Mourlot Paris" at the lower left. Once again, this piece is both signed in the plate and hand-signed by Picasso. It is very rare to find a hand-signed example of this edition! This poster has not been examined outside the frame but appears to be in good condition save expected age wear with slight toning, stains, and crease marks. It is hand-signed in blue and red by Picasso at center right as well as signed and dated in the plate. The frame shows normal age wear with scuffs as shown. Wired for suspension and ready to display.
