Description
A group of 6 Late Roman - Byzantine bronze weights. Lot includes a pair of 3 Scripula weights. c. 4th - 8th Century AD, with impressed gamma, both about D: 10 mm, 4.11g & 3.76g, a pair 12 Scripula weight with IB impressed on top or inlaid with silver, D: 14 mm. 12.87g & 12.81g, one Sicilicus (1/4 uncia) weight, 12 mm, 6.42g, and the last is a circular 6 Nomismata weight with central NS flanked by a cross and perhaps wings above and C.Y.D below, 25 mm. 25.64g). A nice lot! Ex collection of Peter Cheremisinoff, NJ.
