Description
Meissen (German, founded 1720), post 1934. Group of two figures comprising: "The Rabbit Seller", model 23, after the original modeled by Johann Peter Reinicke, circa 1755, from the "Cries de Paris" series depicting a woman with a rabbit in a box; and "Gardener's Child with Plum Basket", model 33, originally modeled by Johann Joachim Kandler, circa 1750-1760, depicting a young girls selling fruit. Impressed and painted marks to underside. Approx. of "The Rabbit Seller", h. 6", w. 2.5", d. 2.25"

Restoration to hand of "The Rabbit Seller"; no cracks or chips when examined under ultraviolet light.
