Description
This is a very old tribal made coiled brass bangle which was traditionally worn by a wealthy Ifugao woman. They are usually worn on the right wrist but wealthier women are said to have worn them in both their right and left wrists. This example was field collected in the mid 20th century by Paul Hendricks. Provenance: The Museum of Oddities, Metamora, Indiana. The tribal adornment measures 4.75 inches long.
