A rare and quite old Ifugao three cavity carved wooden serving bowl from Luzon, Philippines. Such bowls are often referred to as a Chiefs dish, used for high ranking members of the tribe. This example oas an unbelievable deep well handled patina suggestinging generations of field use. Measures 13 x 12 x 3 inches. Purchased in situ 1993 in the Philippines. Ex-Robert & Nancy Nooter collection, Washington DC.
