LATTICINIO STRIPE FONT STAND LAMP, colorless inverted pyriform font with spiraling blue and opal threads, stamped brass stem and single-step marble base, No. 1 fine line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising a Scovill No. 1 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "SCOVILL MF'G CO WATERBURY CT / PAT'D MARCH 17 1863", featuring John G. Leffingwell's patent with two slides positioned on opposite sides of the gallery for elevating the deflector for wick trimming, and an opaque white lip chimney. Probably the shop of Nicholas Lutz, Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. Second half 19th century. 9 3/4" H to top of collar, 3 7/8" SQ base.

Lamp undamaged except for normal wear to marble base. Burner undamaged and with a replaced set screw, chimney fitter with minute flakes.
