Description
CUT DOUBLE OVERLAY STAND LAMP, pale to medium blue cut to cobalt blue cut to colorless pyriform font with cut punties and rough-cut feathers, clambroth/alabaster base, brass connector, No. 1 fine line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising an E. F. Jones No. 1 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "E. F. JONES BOSTON PATENT. JANUARY 11 1859", with a Merrill's air director, marked "R. S. MERRILL'S PATENT MAY 4.1858.", standard 3 1/2" stamped shade ring with coining, cut and engraved Oregon shade with stars between punties above a feather band, and a lip burner with frosted finish to base. Third quarter 19th century. 17 1/2" H to top of shade, 9 5/8" H to top of collar, 4" SQ base.
