E. BOWEN'S NO. 0 LIP BURNER, thumbwheel marked "BOWEN'S PATENT DEC 10 1861.", spring activated sliding mechanism for securing chimney, period lip chimney. Fitted on a cobalt blue Berkshire Variant finger lamp, applied handle, No. 1 fine line collar. Third quarter 19th century. Lamp 2 3/4" H to top of collar, 2 3/4" D base.

Burner undamaged, chimney with a minor fitter flake and minute top rim flakes. Lamp body with a short crack at lower terminal, collar with a minor manufacturing flaw.
