C. W. CAHOON "TOM THUMB" NO. 0 LIP BURNER, thumbwheel marked "TOM THUMB / DIRIGO", and on top of thumb rest "CHA'S W. CAHOON / PAT'D FEB. 19th. & DEC. 3rd 1861", period Harvey Brown Patent lip chimney with worn gilded brass top, marked "BROWN'S PAT MAR 25 62" at bottom. Fitted on a colorless Berkshire Variant finger lamp, applied handle, No. 1 fine line collar. Third quarter 19th century. Lamp 2 5/8" H to top of collar, 3" D base.

Condition
Burner with detached set-screw bracket, losses to base of wick tube, some denting to perforated casing and wear to thumbrest markings, chimney fitter with expected flakes/roughness, brass top with a separation and light denting. Lamp undamaged.
